Saturday October 8th @9:00am Breakfast at Denny’s - 1406 NW 19th St. Grand Prairie, TX 75050 - (972) 988-6121 From I-30 take the NW 19th Street exit. Southeast corner with the La Quinta motel. @10:30am Gathering at Mike Lewis Park Whip cracking work shops, tall tales, and competition practice. @1:30pm ‘Stone Soup’ lunch We provide the meat and side dish specialties from local members. (the cooks swap recipes) @3:00pm Whip Maker’s Corner Learn the how to’s and where for’s of whip making tips and tricks. @4:00pm Open whip practice and helpful pointers I hope you’re not too stuffed for more cracking. @6:00pm Wrap it up for the day and decide where to eat for dinner. (Outback & many others close by) Clean up, wipe down and still have a bit of fidget time. @7:30pm Tuck in to vittles, you’re on your own after that. Sunday October 9th @10:45am Gather at Mike Lewis Park Start competitions promptly at 11:00am @1:30pm Lunch Break Bring your own picnic or yesterday’s left-overs (if there is any) @2:30pm Technical Skill and Free Form competitions More whip cracking challenges and sharing of tips and techniques. @4:00pm Weekend wrap up Award presentation and special thanks, of course more whip chat and open practice. . The participating individual is fully aware of the risks and hazards inherent
in Whip Enthusiasts practices and competitions and hereby elects voluntarily to
participate; knowing the present condition and knowing that said condition may
become more hazardous and dangerous during the time that the participants are
engaged in this activity. The individual is fully aware that whip cracking is a
calculated risk sport and contains inherent risks and dangers (including serious
injury or dismemberment), that no amount of care, caution, instruction, or
expertise can eliminate. All due regard shall be taken for common safety and eye
protection shall be worn during activity. The participant knows and understands
the scope, nature, and extent of the risks involved in the activities
contemplated by this agreement. The individual hereby voluntarily assumes all
risks of loss, damage or injury that may be sustained, or any damage to any
property of the individual, while participating in Whip Enthusiasts practices or
